Andersen One nation under a Groove's Biography

Pop with a new sound

A mix of dance, pop, soul and India. But first of all: Great melodies

One Nation Under A Groove:
Tablas, sitars, Western pop and the Indian rhythm language Konnakol. A new kind of “rap”! Blended with English lyrics, keyboards – and hip hop rhythms.

One Nation Under A Groove:
We focus on great catchy melodies, and these 12 songs on the CD is remixed for our debut album “Guardian Angel”.

One Nation Under A Groove:
“Henrik Andersen has a wonderful voice – a little bit like David Bowie! Or George Harrison meets Prince… “
This is what many listeners on myspace.com have said.

One Nation Under A Groove:
Interesting and personal lyrics about Henrik’s life with a philosophical twist. (H. Andersen has toured India 7 times, and studied philosophy and sitar there)

One Nation Under A Groove:
Exciting keyboards sounds (often a lot of old moogs) blend with funky electric and acoustic guitars, and great vocals in English - all song by H. Andersen.

One Nation Under A Groove:
“Konnakol”! That’s Indian RAP! As we see it and use it in the band. Andersen has studied Indian music and can actually sing the difficult Konnakol-rhythmic “language”.
In this band we use a new kind of rap – we believe we’ve found a new way of making RAP-music. Besides that H. Andersen is an excellent human-beatbox-singer too!
